We provide financial assistance in the event of the loss of a loved one. 

BURIAL SCHEME

  • By virtue of being an Imbita member, you qualify to join Imbita burial scheme
  • Policies are divided in to 3 categories namely; family plan, pensioner plan and pensioner & spouse plan 
  • Only members between the ages of 18 - 64 qualify for the family plan while individuals 65 - 99 years qualify for the pensioner plan.
  • Policies range from E5000.00– E30000.00 
  • Members are covered after a three (3) months waiting period 
  • Policies cover spouse and up to 6 children under the age of 21.
  • Members have an option to cover extended family members at an additional fee. Extended family members have a waiting period of 3 months
  • Premiums are affordable with annual and monthly payment options

MINIMUM REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION

  • Certified copy of policy holder's identity card (ID)
  • Certified copies of dependents' birth certificates
  • Certified copy of marriage certificate (if applicable)
  • Certified copy of beneficiary’s identity card (ID)
  • For extended family members, proof of relationship will be required

  REQUIREMENTS FOR CLAIM

  • Pay out of claims is received within 48 hours upon complete submission of required documentation
  • Certified ID of deceased
  • Certified death certificate
  • Certified birth certificate
  • Certified marriage certificate/ affidavit of marriage
  • Certified still birth certificate
  • Maternity clinic card
  • Child clinic card
  • Certified ID of beneficiary
  • Certified police report
